Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Christian Conflict Resolution

What is Christian Conflict Resolution? Why Haven’t I Heard of it Before?

Christian conflict resolution is all about finding Biblical solutions to personal, family, business, and legal disputes. It includes coaching, mediation, and arbitration.

Although there are currently fewer than 200 practicing Certified Christian Conciliators™ providing conflict resolution services, it’s an alternative to litigation that is becoming more sought after by believers who want to find just and Godly solutions to their disagreements.

What Kinds of Situations Can a Certified Christian Conciliator™ Help With?

There are any number of situations in which a Certified Christian Conciliator™ can be of great assistance. Kyle has worked with husbands and wives, parents and children, siblings, family businesses, business associates, employers and employees, churches and schools and even pastors and deacons. In each case he has served individuals who struggled to find common ground in personal and business relationships.

If you have a serious disagreement between two believers, it may be worth exploring the possibility of working with someone trained in Christian conflict resolution.

Does Kyle Only Work With Families and Individuals?

No. Christian conflict coaching, mediation, and arbitration can be used in virtually any instance where believers disagree with one another. This includes conflict that arises within the context of a church, school, and nonprofit organization. It even applies to disputes between colleagues, business owners and parties to business contracts, transactions and relationships.

The only requirement is that everyone involved must be fully invested in seeking a Biblical resolution to the dispute.

What is a Christian Mediation Session Like?

Each session is based upon a written agreement of the parties and  occurs based on agreed upon rules and an agenda.

The parties meet together with Kyle. In each face-to-face session, parties are provided the opportunity to speak, be heard, and to be understood. Then, he will work with everyone present to apply relevant Scripture and reach an agreement that is both just and consistent with God’s word.

How Do I Convince Someone Else to Enter the Mediation Process with Me?

Before a Certified Christian Conciliator™ can assist in a conflict, it’s important that all parties be willing to fully participate. You can start the process by explaining what faith-based conflict resolution is or directing the other person to this website. You may also want to highlight that Kyle’s role is to help believers to find a way to resolve their dispute, based upon Scripture, and reconcile and restore the relationship.

In some instances, Kyle may be willing to reach out as a neutral third party and speak with a friend, family member, or business associate to help facilitate an introductory meeting.

You can contact Kyle and he can refer you to other resources.
